Škoda Auto has revealed exterior sketches of its all-new electric seven-seater Peaq. The new flagship SUV’s visual presence is defined by clearly defined surfaces, precise lines, and distinctive lighting elements. The  world premiere will take place in Monnetier-Mornex, France, at 18:25 on 23 June 2026.

“In designing the exterior of the Škoda Peaq, we consistently applied the Modern Solid design language, combining clean lines, balanced proportions and distinctive elements. Precisely sculpted surfaces and clearly structured details create a confident, timeless presence, while signature features such as the T-shaped headlights and Tech-Deck Face express Škoda’s identity in a new electric era.”

Karl Neuhold, Head of Exterior Design at Škoda Auto

At the front, the slender T-shaped headlights, gloss-black Tech-Deck Face and connecting element between them form a distinctive, frame-like loop motif. This is contrasted by the Volcano-shaped bumper, with its pronounced lower contour and clearly defined horizontal line.

The side view is dominated by the high shoulder line and wide D-pillars, emphasising the vehicle’s strong stance. The structured surfaces further underline its bold proportions. The sketches also highlight flush door handles seamlessly integrated into the bodywork.

The rear mirrors the front design, with T-shaped tail-lights and a connecting element forming the unmistakable loop motif. This visually sets the Peaq apart while ensuring it is recognisable at first glance.

The 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship concluded with yesterday’s thrilling gold medal game in Zurich, where Finland claimed the title with a 1:0 overtime win over Switzerland. During the closing ceremony, Maren Gräf, Škoda Auto Board Member for People & Culture, presented the Most Valuable Player award to Switzerland’s defender Roman Josi. Since 2018, the trophy has been created by the Škoda Design team, who has once again incorporated elements of the car manufacturer’s Modern Solid design language. Holger Peters, Škoda Auto Board Member for Finance, IT & Legal Affairs, also took part in the ceremony, presenting the bronze medals to the tournament’s third-placed team Norway. The Czech car manufacturer has been the Official Main Sponsor of the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship for 33 consecutive years, making this the longest-running main sponsorship of any sporting world championship. This year, Škoda staged the world premiere of the all-new, all-electric Epiq compact SUV crossover during the tournament.

World premiere of the Epiq at the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship
Škoda Auto staged the world premiere of its new electric city SUV crossover, the Epiq, during this year’s Ice Hockey World Championship. Fans could watch the reveal live on Škoda’s YouTube channel on 19 May, while visitors attending the afternoon games that day were the first to experience the new model in person. The Epiq is the entry-level model in Škoda’s electric vehicle line-up, making electromobility more accessible to new customer groups. Its minimalist exterior and interior design highlight the car’s spaciousness, practical features and everyday usability. The campaign featured distinctive, colourful motifs, which also shaped Škoda’s on-site presence, including colourful fan “helmets” in the same design theme.

Most Valuable Player trophy and record-setting support for the tournament
Škoda Design was once again behind this year’s Most Valuable Player trophy, having created the award since 2018. This year’s iteration is again made of hand-blown Czech crystal with an emerald-green tint reflecting the brand’s signature colour. Its design is inspired by the car manufacturer’s Modern Solid design language.

Škoda Auto has supported the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship since 1992 as a mobility partner and since 1993 as Official Main Sponsor. This year, the company provided a fleet of 53 fully electric Elroq and Enyaq vehicles. Since 2017, Škoda Auto’s involvement has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the longest-running main sponsorship of a sporting world championship.

Škoda Auto has successfully concluded its participation at Milan Design Week 2026, welcoming nearly 60,000 visitors to its brand exhibition at the historic Palazzo del Senato. The immersive installation not only highlighted Škoda’s current design approach but also received the Fuorisalone Award, recognising it as the highest-rated installation of the 2026 edition according to the design community and visitors.

“Coming back to Milan Design Week for the second year in a row took us to a new level. It gave Škoda Auto a chance to open up to a passionate, design driven audience beyond the automotive world – and the response was truly encouraging. The strong interest from visitors and the recognition from the Fuorisalone community show that our design storytelling connects emotionally and strengthens our brand. At the centre of our presence was our upcoming all electric Epiq. For us, it stands for a clear commitment – making electric mobility more accessible and inspiring new customer groups with fresh ideas and optimism for what’s ahead.“

Klaus Zellmer, CEO of Škoda Auto

Škoda Auto’s brand exhibition at Milan Design Week 2026 attracted approximately 60,000 visitors between 21 and 26 April. Hosted at the historic Palazzo del Senato, the installation combined physical and digital elements to present Škoda’s current design approach in an immersive setting. The exhibition featured the camouflaged Škoda Epiq and its playful counterpart, the Epiq Sculpt. Large‑scale installations inspired by modelling clay showcased the central motif of the brand’s current design narrative.

The installation was created by Spanish architect and internationally acclaimed digital artist Ricardo Orts, founder of Ulises Studio. Visitors were invited to explore Škoda’s design language through a curated programme that included relaxation zones, digital experiences and discussions on design and creativity.

Škoda Auto’s presence at Milan Design Week 2026 was further recognised with the Fuorisalone Award by the design community of Fuorisalone.it. Each year, the Fuorisalone Award highlights the most engaging and memorable installations and events, with winners selected through a public voting process following a shortlist of 12 standout projects.

Škoda Auto is offering a first glimpse of the interior of the new Epiq. The brand’s most affordable all-electric compact SUV is Škoda’s first series-production model to fully implement all aspects of the Modern Solid design language, focusing on clear layout and minimalist style. The world premiere will take place in Zurich at 2 p.m. on 19 May 2026.

The Epiq’s interior has been designed in line with the Modern Solid design language from the outset. The first interior sketches offer an initial impression of the clean, angular design, prioritising clarity and ease of orientation. Horizontal interior architecture replaces a conventional dashboard, enhancing the sense of space and openness, while ambient lighting elements contribute to a welcoming, cosy atmosphere.

The clearly structured layout enables intuitive operation, ensuring ease of use for both driver and passenger. An open storage compartment underlines the practicality of the interior, while the free standing centre console integrates wireless charging for added convenience. Sustainable materials are selectively applied in line with Škoda’s Modern Solid approach to the interior.

The Škoda Epiq will play a key role in doubling Škoda’s BEV portfolio in 2026. As part of the European Urban Car Family within the Volkswagen Group’s Brand Group Core, this all-electric entry level SUV crossover will help to make electric mobility accessible to a wider group of customers.

The world premiere of the Škoda Epiq will take place in Zurich at 2 p.m. on Tuesday 19 May 2026.

Škoda Auto and Hasbro, a leading games, IP and toy company, have announced a one-year collaboration featuring Hasbro’s iconic PLAY-DOH brand. The cooperation accompanies the launch campaign of the all new electric Škoda Epiq and is built around the use of modelling compound as a central design element. The approach reflects the campaign’s focus on creativity and playful visual storytelling and is extended beyond campaign assets through co-branded materials. First joint activities are currently under way during Milan Design Week.

The one‑year collaboration has started during the ongoing Milan Design Week. The modelling‑compound theme underlines the playful, fun character of the campaign and connects it with the wider context of design, creativity and experimentation. It therefore perfectly aligns with the creative approach and the guiding principles of the Milan Design Week.

The cooperation will be implemented internationally through centrally coordinated activities and locally driven Škoda market activations across cultural and sporting platforms. It includes campaign content and selected experiential formats.

Following Milan Design Week, further activations are planned around the IIHF World Championship, with additional measures to follow over the course of the cooperation.
